Resources at Pierce College

  • Pierce College Student Technology Assistance Team (STAT)
    • Assists students in building computer skills, answering questions, and gaining the technological skills needed to complete coursework or projects. Expert help is available with accessing Wi-Fi, email, Canvas, and troubleshooting mobile devices in the computer labs or at the mobile STAT stations placed around each campus. Available in person or via Zoom.
  • Student Technology Loan Program
    • Applications open at the beginning of each term to borrow computers and Wi-Fi hotspots from the Pierce College libraries. Other opportunities to borrow will be offered if equipment is available. Please check back regularly for updated information.

  • Connect All
    • Offers reduced cost technology for those that have support through income-based programs numerous such the Federal Pell Grant, SNAP/EBT, Veterans Pension or Survivor Benefits, and more.
  • PCs for People
    • Has multiple options for reduced-cost technology for those who are at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Microsoft Certified refurbisher. No proof of citizenship required.

Free and Low-Cost IT Services

  • Techconnect Washington
    • A free community helpdesk for Washington residents that provides internet connectivity and basic technical support. Services available in multiple languages.

Free Community Computer Labs

  • Pierce County Libraries
    • Have free access to computers and Wi-Fi at each of their locations, state legal forms, and free meeting room reservations.
  • Puyallup Public Library
    • Have free computer access, Wi-Fi, meeting and study rooms, printing services, and more.
  • REACH Center
    • Offers job resources and opportunities. Has access to computer lab and Wi-Fi for youth aged 12-24.
