Regulation of Auxiliary Enterprises

Auxiliary enterprises at Pierce College District Eleven shall exist to enhance the mission of the college. For purposes of this policy, auxiliary enterprises shall include the college Bookstore, the sale of equipment or goods related to the academic and vocational programs of the college, and the rental of college facilities. All provisions of goods, services, and/or facilities shall be directly and substantially related to the district mission. The established fees for goods, services and facilities shall reflect their full direct and indirect costs; further, these fees shall be established with sensitivity to the prevailing rates within the educational district. The review of the activities of the auxiliary enterprises is directed by the Vice President of Administrative Services, who shall approve proposals for new or altered services prior to implementation.
