Teleworking Policy

Research has documented that Teleworking can benefit the district by increasing productivity, by decreasing absenteeism, and by enhancing employee's recruitment and retention through increased job satisfaction. It also can reduce employee-commuting time and costs and allow for more flexible work schedules.

The board recognizes that representatives of college constituencies have reviewed and provided input to this policy. To enhance efficient performance while ensuring a continued high level of service and support to the district and its constituents, the Board of Trustees authorizes the establishment of the Teleworking policy in District 11 as part of the Commute Trip Reduction Program (RCW 70.94.551).
