What is Service Learning?

Service learning is the high impact practice by which a student applies classroom learning to a real-world service project in their community and reflects on their project work to gain a deeper understanding of course content.

Volunteer Opportunities

Pierce College has partnered with Nourish Pierce County to bring a mobile food bank to campus once a week. The food bank is open to all Pierce College students and staff, as well as members of the surrounding community. The food bank parks on the Fort Steilacoom campus every Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
