Submissions are accepted during year-round and are reviewed by our editorial board consisting of faculty and student editors.

SLAM enjoys a robust press and is free to the public and available at our JBLM, Fort Steilacoom, and Puyallup campuses.

SLAM is released annually in Spring Quarter with a launch party featuring readings, student performances, and, of course, food and music!

Each Fall Quarter, SLAM hires Pierce College students to comprise its and editorial team (two students), and design team (two students). For the design team interns, preference is given to second-year Digital Design and New Media program students. For more information about intern positions, please reach out to the current year’s SLAM faculty coordinator.
